Can Quetiapine cause excess sleep?

Hello doctor,

I find myself sleeping excessively, approximately 10 to 11 hours per night. I have been taking QPIN S 400 once at night after meals for the past eight months, and even after reducing the dose to 300 mg, my sleep pattern persists. I am also experiencing dry mouth and headaches. Could this be medication-related, and what remedies do you recommend for my issues? Kindly guide.

I have been suffering from anxiety since childhood. My journey with anxiety began when I was in the fifth grade, though I am unsure if that is where it started. I was always accompanied by my best friend, a sisterly figure. I was a well-behaved and shy student. However, during a class discussion about noisy students, someone, perhaps my best friend, questioned why I was listed, given my quiet nature. The person listing my name commented on my "ugly and loud" voice, and though I do not recall the exact words, the impact stayed with me, a secret burden I carried. Throughout school, I earned a reputation as a reserved student who rarely spoke. Rumors even circulated that I might be mute. While I now have a small circle of friends, occasional feelings of isolation persist, perhaps fueled by my reluctance to engage fully. Reflecting on my childhood, I wonder if a lack of social development contributed to my current state, and I want to change. Attempting to break free from my comfort zone is challenging. Sitting next to someone, especially a boy, triggers breathlessness and discomfort. Speaking in public induces sweating, trembling hands, a racing heart, and a flushed face. I long for change and hope someone can guide me in overcoming these anxieties. Please help.

Can meditation, exercise, and hobbies help with personality issues?

Hello doctor,

I socialize with new people, but only if the other person is male. I have a hard time socializing with girls. While I can easily make friends, I find it difficult to engage with them again. I tend not to talk to anyone unless I have some task for them. Additionally, I struggle with severe anger issues, often shouting at everyone in my home, only to feel regretful afterward, typically about 15 minutes later. My mind feels unstable; it is constantly racing, thinking about a myriad of things simultaneously.

However, I have difficulty focusing on anything for more than a minute. Despite not being depressed, I often prefer not to engage in conversation. I also experience daytime sleepiness, even when I have had sufficient sleep the night before.
