Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am an 18-year-old and have been diagnosed with a right polycystic ovary measuring 4.2 x 2.7 cm. I underwent a medication regimen for five months, taking tablets called Meprate and Rejumet. However, I did not experience any improvement. Kindly provide solution to my issue.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understood your concern. I would like to inform you that polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) typically presents with symptoms such as irregular periods, weight gain, acne, and insulin resistance. You might experience one or more of these symptoms. I am prescribing an Ayurvedic treatment regimen along with suggested lifestyle changes. If you follow this plan, you should experience positive results after some time.

In addition, I suggest you undergo hormonal studies if you have not already. Tests like FSH (follicle-stimulating hormone) , LH (luteinizing hormone), prolactin, testosterone, thyroid profile, hemoglobin, and blood sugar should be conducted. Share the test results, and if all parameters are within normal limits, there is no need to worry. Otherwise, I suggest appropriate treatment to correct hormonal imbalances.

I suggest you follow the below mentioned treatment plan:

  1. Take Varunadi Kwath, 15 ml twice a day with water after meals for four weeks. Discontinue it during your menstrual cycle.
  2. Consume Arogyavardhini Vati, two tablets twice a day with water after meals for four weeks. Discontinue it during your menstrual cycle.
  3. Drink Aloe Vera juice, 15 ml twice a day with water after meals for six weeks. Discontinue it during your menstrual cycle.
  4. Take Chitrakadi Vati, one tablet twice a day with water after meals for four weeks. Discontinue it during your menstrual cycle.
  5. Engage in daily yoga and walking. Practice Sarvangasana, Shavasana, pranayama, and Kapalbhati regularly. Aim for a daily walk of 30 to 60 minutes.
  6. Avoid excessive consumption of tea, coffee, and caffeinated drinks. Also, limit spicy and junk foods. Consume homemade food and increase your intake of fresh fruits and vegetables.
  7. Prioritize adequate sleep, aiming for six to eight hours per day. Try to sleep before midnight.

I suggest you diligently follow this regimen and make it a routine. You may need to continue these practices for a certain period. Kindly follow-up after one month. I hope this has helped you. Kindly follow up if you have more doubts.

Thank you.
