Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
Since I have PCOD (polycystic ovarian disease) and a cyst, I take tablets for my periods. My friend suggested using Kalachikai powder. I used it continuously for 30 days, but it was ineffective. How many days should I take the powder, and how can I address this problem?
Please advise.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
For PCOD (polycystic ovarian disease), Kalachikai powder can be effective, but the treatment duration is often long (more than three months). For a proper evaluation of the condition, please undergo a USG (ultrasonography) of the whole abdomen and other investigations. If the size and number of ovarian cysts are significant, I suggest consulting a gynecologist, as surgery may be required.
If the number and size of the cysts are less, you may continue treatment with syrup Evecare (containing Ashoka, lodhra, shatavari, punarnava, and guduchi), Dashamoola, Kanchnar guggulu, and Lodhra two teaspoons twice daily. Consult your specialist doctor, discuss with him or her, and take the medicines with take the medicines with their consent.
Thanks and regards.
