Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I am in my early twenties and 5 feet 4 inches tall. I weigh only 83.77 pounds. I eat well, but I am not able to gain weight. Please prescribe some medicine without side effects and suggest a diet.
Thank you.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern.
Usually, girls change their physical appearance after attaining menarche (the first occurrence of menstruation). Because estrogen and progesterone are the two new hormones that start secreting more after menarche, this change starts at 13 to 15 years and ends at 23 to 25 years. Reducing body weight is more difficult than increasing body weight.

In some humans, because of the presence of certain special biochemical mechanisms, the calorie (food) will get lost in the form of heat and not be stored as muscle or fat. This mechanism is mostly hereditary (family factor). Some girls may have vaginal discharge, which makes them feel the heat (mega choodu in Siddha). This is also one of the important reasons for weight loss. In Indian traditional medicine, few herbal medicines will give you enough body weight gain. You can buy the following drugs;
I hope this helps.
