Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
My body's vitamin D level is lowered to 18. What do I do to retrieve it?
Kindly help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
Vitamin D deficiency may cause bone pain, muscles cramp, cardiac impairment, and lack of alertness. There are several causes for vitamin D deficiency such as low exposure to sunlight, reduced absorption from the large intestine, less amount in diet, impaired function of kidneys, and more.
Mostly, vitamin D is prepared in the body, but its deficiency may be fulfilled by taking a trace amount of vitamin supplements from outside. You should include milk, cheese, green vegetables, eggs, and fish in your diet. You can also take vitamin D supplements like calcium tablets, Prawal Bhasma, Prawal Pisti, Godanti Bhasma, and Kukkutandatwaka Bhasma.
Expose your skin to sunlight. Do regular yogasana and pranayama; they improve your body's metabolism.
I hope that you got your answer.
Please, let me know if you want some help.
Take care.
