Ksharasutra Therapy

Ksharasuthra therapy is an ayurvedic para surgical technique where a particular ayurvedic thread (Kshara) is used to cure anorectal disease in the body. It is prepared from highly potent ayurvedic herbs. It helps to treat piles, fissures, fistula, pilonidal sinus, perianal abscess, and rectal polyp. The patient is anesthetized using local or general anesthesia. Then a malleable probe is passed from the external opening of the fistula to the internal opening. A probe is then gently taken along with Kshara sutra in the groove. Then both ends are tied together. It is replaced with a new one after a week. Kshara sutra gradually cuts and heals the tract. Finally, the whole tract gets healed.
