Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

I would suggest the following:

Investigations like complete hemogram, blood sugar, and thyroid function test. Take a carbohydrate diet to gain weight, including potato, sweet potato, rice, palm fruit, egg, whole grains, apple, watermelon, citrus fruits, dry fruits, homogenized milk with full cream, and corn. Include a lot of green leafy vegetables, fresh fruits, juice, soup, and salad in your diet. Do regular exercise, walking, or yoga.

I would suggest the following diet which will help to gain weight.

1. Breakfast: Four boiled or scrambled eggs. The white egg particularly contains albumin and protein, and the yellow yolk is calorie-rich, which will help you gain weight. A glass of milk (one liter of full cream milk split as per your convenience) with two to three scoops of protein powder.

2. Midday: A bowl of chicken soup or vegetable soup with a spoonful of cream.

3. Lunch: A big bowl of black gram, green gram, other pulses, cottage cheese, fresh paneer, soybean, fish, chicken, or mutton. Three to four chapatis made out of multi-grain flour or whole grain. A bowl of curd. A glass of buttermilk.

4. Evening: A glass of juice. Snacks (made out of besan or gram flour which is protein-rich).

5. Just before dinner: A bowl of soup (chicken, mutton, or vegetable).

6. Dinner: Vegetables, two to three chappatis made of multi-grain flour, and a bowl of curd.

Caution- Do not overdo with the proteins, as they have to break down for digestion, and appropriate levels of uric acid must be maintained in the body.

I hope this helps.

Thank you.
