Q. How to stay away from stress and tension to gain weight?

Hello doctor,

I am a 25-year-old woman. I used to have stress and tension even for single reasons. And my food intake is decreasing and I have lost weight of 4 kg from 40. Kindly help me. And I am very depressed as everyone taunts me for my thin body type.

Stress and mental tension are the major causes of loss of appetite which leads to weight loss. You should rule out your concern as soon as possible. You should discuss your issues with your family, friends or near dear. It helps to reduce your issues. Some diseases history also causes such conditions like acidity, indigestion, tuberculosis, diabetes, etc.


The Probable causes:

Stress, anxiety, depression, diabetes, hypertension, etc.

Investigations to be done:

Blood sugar, blood pressure, lipid profile, liver function test.

Differential diagnosis:

Weight loss, emaciation

Treatment plan:

You can take the following medicines. It helps to resolve your issues.
Rx,
1. Manasamitra Vati one tablet thrice a day after meals.
2. Stresscom tablet one tablet thrice a day after meals.
3. Kalyanak ghreeta one teaspoon twice a day before food.
4. Ashwagandharistam 15 ml twice a day with equal amount of water after meals.

Preventive measures:

Become familiar with friends and family, share your thoughts and issues. Do regular Kapalbhati, Mandukasana and Ardhamatsyendrasana. Mediation is very helpful in such conditions.
