Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I have been suffering from premature ejaculation. My active semen account is 40 percent. Is this sufficient to have a baby? Please suggest me ayurvedic medicine.
Thanks.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern.
You did not mention how long you have been suffering from this problem and whether you have already been taking any allopathic or other treatment or not. See, first of all, I will tell you about premature ejaculation.
Premature ejaculation is when a man expels semen soon after sexual activity, and it may have many reasons like performance anxiety, faster masturbation during younger years, smoking, drinking, or sometimes due to unknown reasons. Sometimes you feel that it is premature ejaculation, but it is not, and you feel so due to performance anxiety or stress.
Coming to your second problem, you should have mentioned your semen analysis completely. You did not mention your previous history, if you have any other disease, or your profession because if you work in an excessively heated environment, like in front of a fire, then this thing also affects sperm health, and if you do so, then try to avoid this thing until you regain normal sperm health.
Less than 15 million sperm per milliliter decreases your chances of having a baby, but that does not mean that you should lose hope or stop trying. With the help of proper lifestyle and treatment, the chances increase. Here are my suggestions:
1. Eat healthy. Add more fresh fruits, vegetables, and eggs if you already have them. According to Ayurveda, desi, ghee (clarified butter), and milk help to improve semen health. So take half a tablespoon of desi ghee twice daily with one glass of milk. This will help to improve your sperm health and count. Black gram is considered very good for semen health. So start taking this black gram twice or thrice a week. Avoid junk food and excessive caffeine in your diet.
2. Improve your lifestyle. Exercise daily will increase blood flow to your pelvic area and help improve semen health.
3. Sleep adequately at least six to eight hours. Sound sleep has a vital role to play in your everyday health-related problems.
4. Do not take too much stress as this will lead to many reactions in the body, which adversely affect your sperm health.
5. Quit smoking and drinking if you do because both of these may lead to infertility.
6. Do not wear tight undergarments.
7. If your weight is more, then try to lose your weight.
8. Start taking Addyzoa capsules (Withania somnifera and Emblica officinalis) two capsules twice a day for four weeks with lukewarm water. It will solve the problem of oligospermia, infertility, and sexual debility.
9. Take a tablet of Gokhru (Tribulus Terrestris), one tablet twice a day for four weeks. It has very positive results in improving the fertility rate.
If you are already taking any treatment, then you can take this treatment along with that. Try all these things regularly, and you will soon see positive results. First of all, improve your semen quality and then try to have a baby. Before trying to get a baby, get all the essential information about ovulation days and other things.
If you fail in the first attempt, keep hope and try again and again. If you cannot wait for long and want to have a baby very soon, then do visit a nearby infertility center and opt for other techniques like IVF (in vitro fertilization).
I hope this information will help you.
Thank you.
