Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I have PCOD for about 15 years. I have all symptoms of pcod and irregular periods problem. I had one miscarriage 5 years ago due to cervical incompetence. I just started taking Kalarchi choornam for 48 days and facing some side effects. My body is developing heat and I have got some pimples on my face which are painful. Please suggest remedy. Can I continue taking that choornam? Will my pcod get cured?
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
Kalarchi choornam can be continued for a minimum of 3 months and to a maximum of 6 months. The heat and pimples might be due to PCOD itself. Some people develop flatulence (gas trouble) due to Kalarchi choornam. This can be prevented by consuming the drug along with (or after) food and by taking more curd or buttermilk. I would advise the following drugs in addition for treatment of PCOD (Polycystic Ovarian Disease):
I hope this will be helpful to you and my wishes for better health.

Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
Thank you so much. As you said it is because of some reason I got pimples and body heat. Now I am fine and my pimples have reduced. After taking Kalarchi choornam for one month I took a scan two days back, Doctor said my cysts reduced. I am happy after hearing this. So, I am thinking of continuing the choornam for two more months till my periods get regular. If I stop after everything is solved, will the cyst get increased again? Will my periods stay regular life long? One more problem started when I saw the scan. I have a stone of 1.5 cm size in my gallbladder. Doctor said that surgery is the only option. I am worried. Is there any solution for gallstone? Please suggest some medicine to avoid surgery. Can it be taken along with Kalarchi choornam?

Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I bought Kumari legiyam. How much and when to take it? Please tell me in detail. I have started Malai Vembadi thailam and Nilavarai choornam also. Thanks for your advice doctor. I have one more doubt. Many people say that there will be a problem in kidney if we take siddha or ayurveda medicine. But I am very happy that these medicines started reacting in my body. Please clarify it. Hope everything gets alright and will get pregnant soon because my age is already 32.

Hi doctor,
My last period was a month back. That too it was induced withdrawal. After that I did not get it. I took Malai Vembadi thailam 15 mL that is one tablespoon but I did not get any diarrhea or vomiting. Is that fine? Should I increase the quantity next time? If my periods come in nearby, should I take this again? Or only after one month? Please suggest.
