Mesalazine

Mesalazine is a medication that treats inflammatory bowel diseases such as ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease. It is either taken orally or rectally. It comes under aminosalicylates or 5-aminosalicylic acid. They work on the inflamed gut and prevent the formation of substances that cause inflammation.
