Can ayurvedic medicines be taken along with allopathic medications?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I got married 4 years ago and I am a 35-year-old female. On the 11th day, the doctor injected hCG 5000u. After 36 hours they told me to have intercourse. Can I take Kumari Legiyam while taking allopathy medicine? It is okay?

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com

I just read your query. You did not mention your problem. Have you been taking treatment for infertility? Because the thing you mentioned is indicating that you are trying to conceive. If you are taking allopathic treatment you can take Kumari Legiyam (aloe vera, cinnamon, almonds) along with that. Take two teaspoons of Kumari Legiyam with water twice a day. In case initially you feel nausea or stomach upset then take it once a day. But do not start on your own any other ayurvedic treatment or any other thing. If you want to start it consult a doctor first and tell the doctor about your complete history, previous reports, and treatment taken.

I hope this has helped you.

Thank you.
