Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am 23 years old. I had this problem when I was 16 years old. I started using hand pump daily two to three times up to my 18 years. After that, daily one time up to my 21 years. After that, monthly, two times up to now. My knees are pain full.

  1. If I want to decrease my knee pain, what type of exercise should I do?
  2. What type of fruits, food, and medicines will I take?
  3. Is using a hand pump dangerous to my body?
  4. If it is dangerous to my body, then what type of food items should I take?

I want to have a good strong body.

Please give me a good suggestion.

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understand your concern.

Using a hand pump is not harmful if you do it with the right posture. Excessive knee pain might be due to various reasons, and you need an examination by an orthopedic doctor to rule it out. As you have decided not to use the pump anymore, I am telling you some things to get rid of your pain.

1. Add fresh fruits, vegetables, eggs (if you take them), and milk to your diet, as they will provide energy to your body. You can also take one to two cups of green tea daily to help rejuvenate your body. Do not take too much fast food, deep-fried food, tea, and coffee.

2. Go to a physiotherapist nearby you and learn exercises from him to reduce pain. Physiotherapy will help you a lot in reducing knee pain.

3. If you are taking excessive painkillers, do not take them without the advice of a doctor, as painkillers have side effects on the liver and kidneys.

I have not been prescribing you any medicine because you must visit a nearby orthopedic doctor so that he can examine you once, and if he feels that you need to perform any test like an X-ray because you have been facing the problem for so long, only then your diagnosis can be made, and treatment can be prescribed.

Thank you.
