How effective is an herbal supplement in dissolving a stone?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have been detected with a 4 mm stone in the right vesicoureteral junction. It gives me immense pain. The doctors have performed flush therapy twice. But there is no good result. My serum creatinine is 1.4 mg/dL. They have given me Neeri syrup. Can I take a tablet of Cystone along with this syrup so the stone can dissolve? What can I do now?

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern. A four mm stone can be dissolved quickly. You are taking the right medicines for this. You can add a tablet Cystone (Saxifraga Ligulata, Gokshura, and Shilapushpa) along with it. In the case of pain, which is not bearable, you can take painkillers. Avoid spicy and fried junk foods. Drink plenty of water. You can take these ayurvedic medicines to dissolve stones quickly:

  1. Neeri syrup (Gokshura, Daruharidra, Sahadevi): two teaspoons twice a day before eating.
  2. Gokshuradi Guggulu (Gokshura, Shuddha Guggulu, Trikatu Pippali) two tablets twice a day after meals.
  3. Yavakshara (prepared from barley) 125 mg twice a day after meals.
  4. Ashmarihara churn (Yav kshar, Hazrul Yahood Bhasma, Muli kshar, Kalmi Shora) 0.11 oz twice a day after meals.

I hope this helps.

Please revert so I can assist you further.

Thank you.
