Hernioplasty

Hernioplasty is one of the open inguinal hernia repair surgery done to treat a hernia. In this procedure, a single long incision is made in the groin area for correcting the hernia bulging out of the abdominal wall. A mesh patch is placed over the weakened region of tissue. The complications that occur after hernioplasty are mesh infection, wound infection, urinary retention, and neuralgia.
