Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I want to be intimate with my wife, but I am experiencing difficulty with achieving an erection despite making many efforts. Could you suggest any medications or treatments?
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern.
I have read your query, and your issue could have several causes. First, I noticed your BMI (body mass index) is higher than the normal range. Ideally, BMI should be between 18.9 and 24.5. So, I recommend focusing on weight reduction first, as being overweight can sometimes affect sexual performance. Regular exercise will help you lose weight, improve blood circulation to your organs, and enhance erections.
Another key factor is your diet. At your age, your body may require more energy compared to a younger person. Incorporate milk into your diet, as it can help improve semen quality. Additionally, include fresh fruits and vegetables for overall health.
In Ayurvedic medicine, mash dhal (lentils) is believed to improve sperm quality. Try to consume it two to three times a week. Ensure you eat a balanced and nutritious diet. Also, make sure to get six to eight hours of sleep daily, as proper rest helps your body recover. If you smoke or drink alcohol, quitting both can significantly improve sexual function.
You can also consider using Himcolin gel (containing jyotismati, lathakasthuri, and nirgundi). Gently massage an adequate amount on the penis and pubic region before intercourse, avoiding the glans penis. This may assist with achieving an erection.
Additionally, take Makardhwaj rasayan (with shuddha kaunch beej, ashwagandha, and shuddha shilajit) one tablet twice a day with milk for two to three weeks. For longer-term benefits, take Tentex royal capsules (containing gokshura, kokilaksha, and vathada) two capsules once daily, one hour before intercourse, for six to eight weeks. Allow at least six weeks to see satisfactory results.
I hope this helps.
Thank you.
