What could cause prolonged anxiety and loss of appetite?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have had anxiety problems for seven to eight months, followed by a continuous loss of appetite and loss of energy, due to which I am becoming physically and mentally weak. I also do meditation and some exercises sometimes, but it does not help much. Can you suggest some supplements? Kindly help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

Try to sleep and wake up earlier. Do a head massage with warm oils to avoid stress. Talk to your loved ones about your problems so you may feel some relief. Reduce your anxiety and stress. I will suggest some Ayurvedic medications for two months. Consult your doctor and take the medicines accordingly.

1. Capsule Senfresh (Kusmandakah (Cucurbita maxima) Tagara (Valeriana officinalis) Yashtimadhu (Glycyrrhiza Glabra)) twice daily after meals.

2. Tablet Manasamitra Vatakam (Bala, Nagbala, Bilwa) once at night after dinner.

3. Ashta Choornam (Kukkutandatvak Bhasma, Shodhit Laksha, Shodhit Guggulu), one teaspoon in warm water before sleep.

4. Ashwagandha churna (Withania somnifera) in warm water to be taken on an empty stomach in the morning.

I hope that you get your answer.

Please let me know if you need any help.

Thank you.
