Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I want to know why my baby suddenly got white marks. Is this normal?
Please help.
Hello,
I am glad you chose icliniq for your medical-related queries.
I can understand your concern.
These white patches are quite common. Check if the diaper is causing any irritation or itching on the baby's skin. Ensure she is breastfed well. Maintain a nutritious diet while breastfeeding, as this can help balance nutritional deficiencies. Also, expose the baby to sunlight for 15 minutes every day, as vitamin D and B12 deficiencies can cause white patches.
Give Jusdee (vitamin-D3) drops for one month. I have mentioned an ayurvedic ointment that can be applied regularly to the discolored areas. Six-C (a combination of Pongamia Glabra Oil, Shuddha Gandhak, and Yashad Bhasma) ointment for external application.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further.
Thank you.
