Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 39-year-old who weighs 165 pounds, and I want to lose weight. Could you please suggest some medications?

Thanks.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

To lose weight, focus more on your diet and lifestyle rather than just medications.

  1. Instead of three large meals, try having five smaller meals.
  2. Avoid spicy foods, junk food, and caffeinated drinks.
  3. Incorporate fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as whole grains, into your diet.
  4. If you would like, you can follow a diet chart, which you can obtain from a dietitian.
  5. Make sure to exercise, do yoga, and walk daily. If you find exercise challenging right now, start with regular walking. Begin with a short walk, and after one week, progress to brisk walking.
  6. Later on, you can incorporate yoga and other exercises.
  7. Aim for adequate sleep, at least six to eight hours each night, and try to sleep before midnight.
  8. For medication, take Medohar vati, two tablets twice daily with water, 30 minutes before meals. Do not swallow the tablet whole; first, chew it, then take it with lukewarm water.

Try to implement all these recommendations consistently and consult me after three weeks to discuss your progress.

I hope this information helps you.

Thank you.
