Is ulcerative colitis a treatable condition?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

My future brother-in-law is suffering from ulcerative colitis. Is this disease dangerous? He is taking both Ayurvedic and allopathic treatment. Should my sister marry him?

Kindly provide me with your opinion.

Hi,

I am glad you chose icliniq for your medical-related queries.

I understand your concern and will try to help you with it.

Ulcerative colitis (UC) is a disease primarily affecting the large intestine. The motions habits will be altered. There are excellent medical drugs available for UC and lots of new drugs are coming. I will not recommend combining both ayurvedic and allopathic treatment. This UC alone should not be a problem for marriage.

I appreciate your trust in icliniq.com and for giving me the chance to serve you.

Our goal is to prioritize your health and help you according to your preferences and needs.

Thank you.
