Painful sores that form in the lining of the duodenum, stomach or small intestine is called peptic ulcer. The common causes of stomach ulcer are H.pylori infection and indiscriminate use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). The symptoms include stomach pain, bloating, acid reflux, and heartburn.
