Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
Is it fine to take warm water and tulsi tea along with honey? What are the benefits of the same? If it has any side effects, then please mention them as well.
Please help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I read your query and understand your concern.
Taking tulsi tea in warm water has many advantages, as tulsi has antioxidant properties, anti-bacterial, and anti-viral properties which help in a variety of conditions. Tulsi is beneficial in the prevention of many conditions like respiratory problems. It helps in keeping the heart and skin healthy, helps in beating stress, and also helps in fighting against some types of cancers. It is a herb with multiple benefits. So you can take it regularly. As far as honey is concerned, honey also has multiple benefits, as it increases immunity, helps in the healing of ulcers, helps in cough and throat infections, etc. Taking honey with lukewarm water in some people leads to joint pains after some time and some other side effects too. So I suggest you take tulsi tea in warm water, but if you want to take honey, take it separately rather than in lukewarm water because it is better to avoid long-term risk. Follow-up after three weeks.
I hope you are satisfied with my answer.
Thank you.
