What Ayurvedic medicine can be taken after stent placement?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My father is 58, and recently, the doctors advised us to proceed with the implantation of a stent on an emergency basis, which we did. However, I want to rely completely on Ayurveda for his recovery from heart disease. After the stent procedure, what medications should he take, and how can he overcome a heart attack?

Please suggest.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I just read your query.

Since he has a stent implanted, he needs to continue taking all his heart medications. Additionally, he can start taking Arjuna capsules, two capsules twice a day with water after meals for one month. If he experiences any problems while taking this medicine, he should stop it immediately. These capsules can be started if three months have passed since the stent implantation and his condition is stable. I recommend consulting a reputable Ayurveda physician for a complete clinical examination and appropriate medication.

I hope you understand my point. Please consult me after one month regarding his improvement and further management.

Thank you.
