Hi doctor,

Can Batooni syrup be given to a 5-year-old child with a speech development issue?

Thanks.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I just read your query.

Yes, you can give syrup Batooni (Convolvulus pluricaulis, Bacopa monnieri, Centella asiatica) to a 5-year-old child having speech development issues. Give one teaspoon once daily with water after food for ten days regularly. Once the child starts tolerating it, give one teaspoon twice daily with water after food for three months. Make a powder of almond and green cardamom. Add half a teaspoon of almond powder and a pinch of green cardamom powder in lukewarm milk and regularly give it to your child.

Along with this, speech therapy is of great importance. Motivate the child to read books, and sing rhymes in front of family members loudly. When the child completes this task, encourage him by giving small presents and with lots of praise. Try to do this act daily. Also, take the help of a professional speech therapist. Try all these regularly and consult a nearby Ayurveda physician after three months regarding improvement and further management.

I hope that you get your answer.

Please let me know if you want some help.

Thanks.

Regarding follow up
