Can Mentat syrup improve speech in a 2.5-year-old baby?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My 2.5-year-old daughter is not speaking. She was very hyperactive, so we consulted a doctor six months back. The doctor advised to give her five ml of Mentat syrup once a day. I gave it for three months. I see some improvement as she is not too hyperactive now. I stopped it for a month, but I felt it was helping her. Can I continue to give her the syrup? How long can I give it to her? Will it help her focus and improve her speech? What other remedies can help her speak?

Kindly help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I just read your query. You can continue giving half teaspoon of the Mentat Syrup (Brahmi, Ashwagandha, and Madhukaparni) twice daily with water for one month. After that, you may require some time gap. Along with that, take some almonds and make a fine powder. Add some powder to her milk once or twice a day. It will also help her. Then, take her for speech therapy and follow up after a month.

Hope this helps.

Kindly revert for further queries.

Thank you.
