Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I have a skin infection on my leg, and I am unsure what it is. Can you assist me?
Please help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I read your query and can understand your concern.
An allergy may be to blame if you consistently have skin infections throughout the summer and monsoon. You should have described your medical history and if you have ever seen a dermatologist. In contemporary medicine, anti-allergy medications are administered with various lotions for skin allergies. Recurrent skin infections are, however, seen in Ayurveda as a buildup of ama (toxins) in the body. Several other treatments, including Vamana and Virechana, exist for bodily cleansing. You must visit a nearby panchakarma facility to do that, where you may request these treatments and, if you like, cleanse your body. You are still able to use Ayurvedic medication. Apply aloe vera gel on the legs twice a day. Avoid spicy, junk food and caffeinated drinks, and if you smoke or drink, then quit these things. Take more fresh fruits and vegetables and drink plenty of water. But I suggest you consult a nearby dermatologist because he will rule out the type of skin allergy you have after a clinical examination. Once correctly diagnosed, taking proper treatment rather than generalized treatment for skin problems would be easier.
Revert with the answer to assist further.
Thank you.
