Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
My husband is experiencing issues with having pinhead sperms. Are there any Ayurvedic treatments available for this condition? I would appreciate any recommendations.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern.
The presence of pinhead sperm, which lack DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) material, can negatively affect conception. A higher number of pinhead sperm decreases the likelihood of successful conception, as only one healthy sperm is needed to fertilize the ovum. Therefore, even with a lower count of healthy sperm, conception is still possible. Both partners need to be in good health to increase the chances of conception.
For your husband, traditional remedies include gold, ashwagandha, and zinc-based polyherbal supplements. Additionally, aloe vera-based supplements can be beneficial. I recommend taking the capsule Rathina purush (containing twak, chinoshana, and madanamastaki), one in the morning and one in the evening. Continue this until pregnancy is achieved.
In terms of diet, he should consume pure cow milk, cashew nuts, sprouted green gram, groundnuts, other edible seeds, drumstick, and vegetable. He should strictly avoid tea, coffee, smoking, chicken, alcohol, packaged foods, fruit juices, and soft drinks, as these can damage sperm quality. He should also avoid wearing tight jeans or pants and minimize exposure to continuous heat and radiation sources, which can reduce sperm quality. Weekly, he should apply sesame oil to his whole body and head, leave it on for an hour, and then take a bath in warm water. Daily, before bed, he should soak in a tub of medium-temperature water (neither cool nor hot), immersing his buttocks and genitals for half an hour.
For you, I recommend taking aloe compound (kumari, hirabol, and kambhoji), two tablets in the morning and two in the evening after meals. Continue this regimen until pregnancy is achieved, but skip during menstrual days.
Note: Ensure that both you and your husband have completed all necessary infertility tests. If any issues such as varicocele or hydrocele are found in the testis, they should be addressed. For you, monitoring ovulation and endometrial thickness is crucial. Many couples with normal laboratory reports still face challenges in achieving pregnancy. Remember that a baby is a natural gift, and positive thinking can significantly impact the process. Keep a hopeful and positive mindset.
I hope this helps you.
Thank you.
