Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am 18 years old, and 50 percent of my hair has turned white. Kindly advise. It has been more than three years since my hair started turning white. I have started applying herbal Henna in the last five months. Please help.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I just read your query and saw the attached file (attachments have been removed to protect the patient's identity).
The main cause of premature greying of hair can be due to nutritional deficiencies, genetics, or some underlying health problems. So the hair that has become white cannot be turned into black hair with the help of medicines. But you can take medicines for new hair so that they grow black in color. I suggest you consult a specialist and take the following medications with their consent.
1. Take two capsules of Bhringraj two times a day with water after food for one month.
2. Take two tablets of Asthiposhak two times a day with water after food for one month.
3. Take two tablets of Triphala at bedtime with lukewarm water.
4. Use Bhringraj oil for your hair and gently massage it on your scalp regularly. Wash your hair with mild herbal shampoo.
Add curry leaves, raisins, almonds, fresh fruits, milk, and eggs (only if you eat eggs) to your diet. Take all the medicines regularly for one month and consult a nearby Ayurveda physician or me after one month regarding improvement and further management.
I hope that you get your answer.
Please let me know if you need any help.
Thank you.
