Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

My father, 52 years old, has tremors in his hand and neck, his neck is pulling backward continuously, he can not fold his hand easily while eating food; it is very difficult, and his eyes are also blinking; he is diagnosed with dystonia two years back and is taking tablet Pacitane 2 mg twice a day, but there is no relief even after taking tablets. For the past two weeks, he has been suffering from persecutory delusions like someone is coming to attack and kill him. Still, there is nothing like that, so please suggest any medicine that can cure persecutory delusions instantly and suggest any medication to get relief from dystonia. Please, doctor, reply to me soon; it will be very helpful.

Hi,

Welcome to iclinq.com.

I read your query. I can understand your concern. From this query, I can understand that your father has cervical dystonia. In this condition, contractions cause the head to twist and turn to one side or pull forward or backward, causing pain. The medicine you are now using helps reduce muscle spasms. In Ayurveda, dystonia comes under aggregated Vatavikara. We have treatment in Ayurveda for dystonia. But this needs some treatment procedures also. It includes Nasya, Siro abhyanga, other treatment procedures, and medicines. Medicines alone can not cure this. So it is better to consult a nearby Ayurveda physician in your area. For anxiety and to reduce stress, I am suggesting Mentat (thyme-leaved gratiola, Indian pennywort, and winter cherry) two tablets in the morning and night after food and Manasamitra vataka (Bala, Nagbala, Bilwa), one tablet in the morning and night after food.

Thank you.
