Is it necessary to remove the skin covering the edge of my penis?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello,

I am 27 years old. My penis edge is covered with skin. My penis looks like a children's penis, not like a young man's. My marriage is next month. Is it a problem to have sex? Is it suitable for making children or do I need surgery or treatment to remove the skin from the end of my penis?

Please help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I just read your query. The problem of the tight foreskin is called phimosis (an inability to retract the foreskin due to a congenital constriction of the hole). If it is very tight then it might create problems while having sex but has nothing to do with children. If it is not too tight then you can try this oleation therapy (it involves rubbing medicinal oils, ghee, and herbs into the body for three to seven days both inwardly and physically), it will help you. You can also use the following medicines:

  1. Take Ashwagandha ghrita (the plant extracts of Semecarpus anacardium L., Argemone mexicana L., Cocculus hirsutus L., and Woodfordia fruticosa K), and drink one teaspoon of ghee with lukewarm water empty stomach in the morning, it will do internal oleation.
  2. Take Ksheerbaladi oil (Go-Ksheera - cow milk, Bala - Sida cordifolia, and Tila Taila - sesame oil), do a gentle massage of your penis for 5 to 10 minutes with it in the morning, and then take a bath with lukewarm water.
  3. These things will help you and you will see results within 15 days. However if you can not wait then do consult a nearby general surgeon, he will tell you about a surgical procedure named circumcision and tell you completely about it. Then you can opt for it after consulting him.

I hope you are satisfied with my answer.

Thank you.
