This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have been diagnosed with PCOD. My weight is increasing; and sometimes I have mood swings and cravings for food.

Kindly help.

thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for your query.

I understand your concern.

PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome) is a group of diseases. It happens due to hormonal imbalance. Mainly it occurs along with hypothyroidism. Hypothyroidism leads to weight gain. It would be best if you investigated your thyroid profile. PCOS can be treated naturally through ayurvedic medicines and yoga practice. I suggest you to take the following medications.

1. Take the tablet Medohara Vati (Pure Guggulu, Shilajita Sat, Haritaki extracts, Baheda extracts.) twice daily.

2. Take the tablet Hyponid twice (Yashad bhasma with purified asphaltum) daily.

3. Take tablet Thyrocap (Elettaria cardamomum, Cinnamomum zeylanicum, Cinnamomum tamala) twice daily.

I hope this has helped you.

Thank you.
