Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am writing some details before asking my question which might help you while answering. I am male, 29 years, 5"10', 176.37 Ibs, good physique, sharp mind (according to my colleagues, teachers and academic performance), extrovert, suffering from moderate hair loss (genetic), family history of heart diseases and hypertension (though my BP is absolutely fine as I regularly exercise), suffering from OCD and moderate depression for last one year (due to career and some personal reasons). I am taking Paroxetine for this and that has been helpful, the condition has improved. I am prone to gain weight easily, sometimes suffer from constipation, prone to acidity, prone to anxiety, cannot remain hungry, become irritable when hungry, maximum hunger in the morning, always take heavy breakfast, regularly do exercise.

Now my question. Please suggest some herb, capsule or Ayurvedic remedy which can act as a general body tonic in long-term, desired effects, anti-aging, maintaining youth, stamina, strength, sexual power, muscle building, avoiding diseases which people generally get in the 50s, means something which is very good for overall physical and mental health. You can tell me any herb or capsule, or multiple capsules. This is my main question and if you wish, you can tell me something which can help me with OCD and depression. Earlier I used to get increased pitta as my dosha (when I was suffering from hair loss 2 to 3 years back), but now I get increased vata dosha (for last year since when I am suffering from OCD and depression), some give me a mix of increased pitta and vata doshas.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I just read your query. See let me tell you one thing first your mind is under your control. If you cannot change anything then there is no need to crib on it. So first of all, let go of the things which make you angry, sad, or affect your mood. Because one single negative thought is enough to spoil a day. One day has gone and it will happen again and again, and as a result, you will get some psychological problems.

As you have asked about herbs that can help you in remaining healthy forever, so let me tell you stress and depression play a major role in your physical fitness too because in depression, at the hormonal level and chemical level many reactions occur which refrain your body from doing many good things. So try to remain positive as much as you can. Now coming to medicine, as you have moderate depression and you also want something which has anti-aging effects and good effects on sexual power, etc., start taking capsule Ashwagandha (Ashwagandha) two capsules two times a day with water after food for one month. It has multiple benefits according to your problems. Ashwagandha will help you with depression as well as improve your physical health. Along with this, take capsule Brahmi two capsules two times a day with water after food for one month. These will calm your mind and body. It will help you with OCD (obsessive-compulsive disorder) and depression. For hair loss take Mahabhringraj oil (Bhringaraja, Amalaki, Sesame oil) and do a gentle massage with it on your scalp on every alternate day. Wash your hair with mild herbal shampoo. Take Asthiposhak tablets two tablets two times a day with water after food for one month for hair growth. Add curry leaves, figs, and raisins, to your diet for hair growth. Take one glass of lukewarm milk at bedtime and add some almond powder and some cardamom powder and a little bit of honey in it. Avoid TV, laptop, and mobile one hour before sleeping because their blue light hinders normal sleep patterns. Try to do meditation daily as it is beneficial for the mind and will stabilize your mood. If you can spare some time then you can go to a nearby Panchakarma center and ask for procedures like Shirodhara, etc., which have good results in depression. Try all these things regularly and you will feel positive results within a month. Consult me after one month regarding improvement and for further management or you can consult a nearby reputed Ayurveda physician too.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
