How to manage peripheral numbness and disturbed stomach?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have numbness in my leg and hands and palpitations in my whole body. I have disturbed stomachs like constipation, gas, and bloating. I suffered from dengue five years back, and these problems started. Someone said to take Shatavari, Giloy, Amla, and Gokhru in equal quantity. Can I take it, or can it have side effects?

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

It looks like you have decreased blood circulation all over the body. You should do some regular physical activities every day. These symptoms occur in general weakness also. So follow a healthy eating habit. Eat a lot of green leafy vegetables like spinach, broccoli, drumstick, etc. Drink a glass of warm milk by adding a pinch of turmeric every night. Take plenty of water every day. Apply ayurvedic Mahanarayana tailam on the part where you feel numbness. For gas, bloating, and constipation, I would suggest

  1. Hinguvachadhi churnam (Pomegranate, Haritaki, Trikatu, Hing) 1 - teaspoon with warm milk in the morning and night after food.
  2. Triphala churnam (Gaja Pippali, Kali Marich, Shunthi) 1 - teaspoon in warm water at night.
  3. Arjunin capsule (Arjuna (Terminalia arjuna), Punarnava (Boerhaavia diffusa), Jatamansi (Nardostachys jatamansi)) in the morning and night after food.

You can also take the medicines you have mentioned in the query. But make sure you do a proper preparation of that medicine. If you prepare powder, the dosage should be one spoon per day. For kashayam, the dosage should be one tablespoon.

Thank you.
