This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 31-year-old with 5.48 feet in height and a weight of 112.43 pounds. I want to gain weight. But the problem is I feel nauseous in thinking about the food.

Please suggest.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your feelings about less weight. First, you need to see, whether you are hungry, interest in food, have proper digestion, proper excretion of stool in the morning, and your heredity. I think you have hunger, but an interest in food, which leads to nausea while thinking about food. Kindly follow the following advice or therapy.

  1. Bilvadi lehyam (Musta, Nagakeshar, Trikatu). Take 0.18 ounces in the morning, at lunchtime, and in the evening before food. Consume a little hot water. This will improve the taste of food. Also, reduces nauseating sensation.
  2. Drinking ginger and milk will improve appetite and digestion.
  3. Try to use pickles as the best way to avoid nausea (lemon and mango are good).

If you have a peptic ulcer, do not use ginger milk and pickle. You can try only the first drug. Please continue treatment for at least six months. To improve body weight you can eat one ice cream daily after lunch. Shatavari gritham (Shatavari, Ela, Sharkara) (0.18 oz morning at evening before food) for six months.

I hope this will be helpful to you.
