Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My right arm feels weird but is not numb, and it does not tingle or give me pain. However, it feels really weird, and I have noticed there is a slight change in feel on my right compared to my left one. My arms went numb one hour after drinking energy drinks. The doctor said my veins were probably constricted. I am currently taking vitamin D3. What is the cause of this condition? Please help.

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have read your query, and I can understand your concern.

The exact cause behind the weird feeling in your right arm needs to be investigated before a treatment can be recommended. I would advise you to consult a specialist in neuro medicine, who can clinically assess, and advise tests suitably to rule out any issues of neurologic origin. Simultaneously, keep your diet and lifestyle streamlined, and keep up an active lifestyle. It is always better to go for an anti-inflammatory, balanced, and heart-healthy diet that is relatively Mediterranean. Ensure to include foods rich in B vitamins and magnesium in your daily diet as these can be helpful. Massages, especially of the back, neck, and hands by a well-trained masseur can help increase blood circulation. Having a cup of hot milk daily with half a tablespoon of fresh turmeric powder appropriately mixed can help reduce inflammation, if any, systemically and also help improve blood flow to the affected parts. It will help if you avoid the intake of processed foods, soft drinks, alcohol, tobacco, caffeine-containing products, and the ones that your physician advises you against. Keep your local physician informed on any natural medicines or treatments you may take.

I hope this information will help you.

Thank you.
