Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
My periods have stopped for the past few months. I had it once six months back when I bled for ten days. I have been on ayurvedic medicines for a month, but nothing has helped. I have hypothyroidism and have been taking 75 mg tablets for the past four to five years. I do not have fibroid in my uterus, but my uterus lining is very thin, despite having no periods for this long.
I did an ayurvedic detox with the Gritham for five days, then massages and five enemas. After that, I took Triphala guggul, Asokarishta, and Kumaryasava for a month and a half and took Dhanwantharam Kashayam, Menovin, and Shatavari as well (twice a day) for 15 days. Still, there are no periods.
Kindly help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern.
Sometimes ayurvedic treatment takes around two to three months to correct your menstrual cycle. Also, your age is around 43 years, there are chances that menopause might get also started, and that may also lead to this kind of issue.
So wait for one more month and take a similar treatment. Then, if there will be no periods, visit your gynecologist again and ask if the menopause stage has started.
I hope this has helped you.
Thank you.
