Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I want to discuss my mom and dad's health issues with you. My dad has had knee pain for the last seven to eight months. The doctors we visited told him that he had osteoarthritis. But, some ayurvedic doctors told him that he had Vata dosha. So, he has been taking medicines like Ashwagandha, Shallaki, Haldi, and Nirgundi for the last four months. But, there is no improvement in his health. He also has an issue with a cracking noise from his knees. My mom works at a restaurant, and she has shoulder pain. According to the X-ray report, she has rotator cuff tendinitis. She has also been taking medicines like Shallaki, Amba Haldi, and Giloy for the past five to ten days.
Please suggest an ayurvedic treatment for my parents.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I went through your query and understood your concern.
This problem is common with aging. No need to worry about this. I suggest you follow the instructions mentioned below for your dad.
1. Follow a healthy diet and lifestyle.
2. Do some simple knee exercises.
3. Add more green vegetables like broccoli, spinach, and drumstick leaves to your diet.
4. Drink plenty of water.
5. Avoid drinking tea and coffee.
6. Apply a hot pack over the knee region.
7. Let him take Yogaraja guggulu one tablet twice daily after food.
8. Let him take Rasna erandathi kashayam 10 ml in 30 ml water twice daily before food.
9. Let him take Kukkutanda twak bhasma one tablet twice daily after food.
10. Also, let him take Vatha Narayana thailam for external application.
However, for your mother,
1. Let her use Murivenna for external applications. Also, make a bandage after dipping the oil with cotton balls.
2. Let her take Yogaraja Guggulu, one pill twice daily after food.
3. Let her take Dashmularishta 10 ml with water twice daily after food.
4. Sahacharadi kashayam one tablet three times a day after food.
Kindly consult a specialist, talk to them, and take the medications with their consent. In addition, I have a few questions,
1. Do they have diabetes or hypertension?
2. Are they suffering from acidity or acid reflux?
3. Do they complain about constipation?
I hope this helps.
Please revert so I can assist you further.
Thank you.
