Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have been experiencing persistent bowel problems and indigestion, which are causing significant discomfort. It takes me 2 to 3 hours, twice a day, to empty my bowels, and I have to spend a total of 4 to 5 hours in the bathroom. My digestion is extremely weak, and I am limited to consuming only a few specific foods. This condition has led to constant anxiety and depression.

I have undergone various medical tests, including colonoscopy, biopsy, blood tests, and stool tests, and have tried several allopathic treatments, but unfortunately, my condition has not improved; in fact, it has worsened with each treatment.

I would greatly appreciate your guidance on natural remedies, yoga practices, and dietary recommendations that could potentially alleviate my symptoms.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understand your concern.

To help reduce your discomfort, I suggest the following steps:

  1. Focus on a balanced Mediterranean diet, prioritizing foods rich in fiber.
  2. Ensure you drink at least 8 - 10 glasses of water daily.
  3. Engage in regular exercise, with walking being a safe and effective option. Aim for 30 - 45 minutes of exercise daily in a clean and open environment.
  4. Limit the consumption of meat, including chicken and eggs, as they can worsen constipation and complicate digestive issues.
  5. Refrain from consuming high-calorie foods such as sweets, cakes, pastries, greasy and oily items, spicy foods, and fast food.
  6. Completely avoid red meat.
  7. Consider drinking a glass of freshly prepared juice made from ripe bael fruit daily in the evening. You can enhance its taste and benefits by adding honey, black pepper, cardamom, or other spices of your choice.
  8. Incorporate freshly prepared buttermilk into your daily diet.
  9. Try Herbolax (Trivruth and Haritaki) - take 2 capsules twice daily after meals for a duration of 15 days.

I hope these suggestions help improve your condition and provide relief.

Thank you.
