Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 38-year-old female. Recently I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. I am on Levothyroxine and have lots of side effects with my current medication. So wondering any alternate Ayurveda supplement that I can take instead?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

So, first of all, you do one blood test called anti-TPO so that we come to know that your problem is autoimmune or just only because of hormonal changes. By the time take following medicines.

  1. Kanchanar Guggulu (Kanchanar, Haritaki, Bibhitaka) - 2 twice a day before food.
  2. Hamsapadyadi kashayam (Hamsapadi, Vasa, Gudduchi) (kottakkal pharmacy) - 2 teaspoon twice a day after food with equal amounts of water.
  3. Tablet Arogyavardhini (Shuddha Parada, Shuddha Gandhak, Loha Bhasma) - 1 twice a day, with an empty stomach.

Avoid broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, and soya products. Do Bhramari Pranayam and brisk walking for 20 to 30 minutes daily. After one month, check your TSH level and anti-TPO level and I will suggest the next course accordingly.

Regards.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

Since I do not get the Hamsa Patyadi Kashaya here, are there any alternative tablets for this?

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

You can take Varunadi kashayam (Varuna, Sahachara, Chirubilwa, Bhallataka)- 6.5/15 fl oz - the same dose as Hanspadyadi.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
