Q. Can ayurvedic treatment be taken along with allopathic medication?

I am a 55-year-old woman. I have a thyroid problem and systolic hypertension. I am currently taking allopathic medication for my thyroid problem. Can you please provide me with Ayurvedic treatment for hypertension?

I suggest you to send a detailed medical history, like how long you have been suffering from hypertension and thyroid problems and what medications you are currently on. Also, mention your height and weight. Also, are you suffering from any other systemic diseases like diabetes? Kindly provide all of these details. For now, I suggest you follow the instructions given below -
- Send me your thyroid test reports, and check your blood pressure regularly.
- Avoid excess salt, sugar, ghee, and oily food in your diet.
- For now, I suggest you to take Arjun Kwath (Arjuna tvak, Dhataki pushpa, Madhuka pushpa). It is an ayurvedic remedy to treat hypertension.
- In addition, I will suggest further medications after reviewing your reports.
