Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

See the problem of excessive hair on the body is called hirsutism. The cause of this problem might be excessive production of male hormones, PCOD (polycystic ovarian disease), genetic reasons, some medications, and sometimes there is no proper cause. These are the common reasons. There are some rare causes for this condition too.

1. To rule out the hormonal imbalance, and to know if there is a production of excessive male hormones, you need to perform blood tests like Testosterone, FSH (follicle-stimulating hormone), LH (luteinizing hormone), and Prolactin. To rule out PCOD you have to perform an ultrasound of your pelvic organs. PCOD has sometimes other associated symptoms too like irregular menstruation, and weight gain.

I am telling you about all these tests because if there is any reason for one of these then you have to rule it out, and you have to take treatment for that too. Otherwise, that problem will be ignored, and cannot cure your problem permanently.

2. As far as your current problem with hair growth is concerned, I am telling you the natural way to cure it. Take pure Thanaka powder(obtained from Thanaka tree), you can get it from an ayurvedic medicine shop and mix this powder with kusumb oil (safflower oil) and make a paste of it. Remove all your excessive hair and gently massage this paste on the affected area in a circular motion for 15 to 20 minutes till the paste gets absorbed. You can apply this paste on the face and on other parts too. Do not wash away or wipe it away for 3 to 4 hours. Preferably apply it at night. Do this thing for 100 days regularly and you will see immensely positive results. Along with a reduction in hair growth, this paste also make skin lustrous.

But firstly, perform all your lab tests and do come back to me with reports, so that proper cause can be ruled out, and if you also need some additional medicine, such as an allopathic treatment, you will get to know about that as well.

I hope you are satisfied with my answer.

Thank you.
