Is there any ayurvedic medicine for persistent hiccups?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My father-in-law has had continuous hiccups for the last three to four days. A few doctors I consulted said they do not have a medicine for the same.

Please help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

There is a wonderful medicine for this called Mayur Piccha Bhasma made from the peacock feather. But unfortunately, this is a rarely used medicine. So, it is a little difficult to get it. You can buy it from either of them. I have procured it once from an online store. So, hopefully, you should be able to procure it. Buy 0.36 oz of the medicine. The dose is one pinch with equal honey given four times a day before food with a gap of six hours.

In case this is not available, I suggest taking Mahalakshmi Vilas Ras (Gold) from Dhootpapeshwar company one tablet twice a day after food for four days.

I hope this helps.

Thank you.
