Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

For the past few days, I have felt an electrical impulse-like feeling in my left foot from my heel towards the center of my foot. If I massage or put pressure, it stops but begins again a few moments later. Is this a sign of something serious, or should I change some things, like posture or shoes? Please help.

Thanks.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

To start with, you can try the following natural steps to manage the heel pain suitably:

  1. Regular stretching of the feet.
  2. Ensure you refrain from undertaking hard exercises including jumping, jogging, running, etc.
  3. Use soft, cushioned shoes to support the heels comfortably at home and outside.
  4. Apply ice-cold treatment topically on the heel for five to 10 minutes, twice daily.
  5. Apply homeopathic Traumeel (Arnica montana) cream topically, two to three times daily.
  6. Rest and avoid repetitive strains to arrest any further injuries to the heel.

Above-mentioned apart, do keep your diet and lifestyle streamlined. Try to exercise for at least 30 minutes daily. I hope this helps alleviate your pain. Simultaneously, advise getting your foot clinically examined once by an orthopedics specialist.

I hope this information will help you.

Thanks.
