Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I had a heart attack before 50 days. I consulted a doctor, and he said that I have 90 % and 75 % block in arteries. He suggested getting a stent. Please help me if there is an option and treatment to remove the artery blockage.
Kindly help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
In such cases of 90 % and 75 % blockage, the blood supply to the heart will not be proper. It may lead to multiple problems, which also include heart attacks. As your doctor advised you, please go for stenting, and if you already did that then fine. But if not, then I advise you to go for that first. Because no medicine can open this much of a blockage. After stenting, medicine will help in preventing further blockage and will also save your other arteries from blockage. You did not share your blood investigations here like cholesterol level, history of diabetes, BP, or any other disease as it is also very important while prescribing you medicine. For now, I am prescribing you a capsule of Arjunarishta (Dhataki, Arjuna, jaggery), one capsule twice a day with water for four weeks. Arjunarishta has very good results in heart patients. But if your stenting has been done recently or you have planned for stenting then do not start this medicine immediately. Start it after six to eight weeks of stenting. The medicine helps a lot in many conditions, but it is preventive and not curative. Do not go for claims that medicine can cure 100 % of the blockage.
I hope this helps.
Thank you.
