Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 18 years old. I have had beautiful long red hair my whole life. Recently for the past two months, I have had severe hair fall and it is now extremely thin and continuing to fall out. Nobody has answers for me.

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I just read your query. See it can have many reasons like genetic cause, nutritional deficit, and some underlying disease. You should ask your physician about thyroid function test and perform it after discussing it. Because severe hair fall can be due to thyroid dysfunction sometimes. Besides that add curry leaves, raisins, figs, and almonds in your diet. Take one glass of lukewarm milk in the evening daily. Add half a teaspoon of turmeric powder and a pinch of black pepper in it. Protect your hairs from excessive sunlight, dust, etc. Wash your hairs with mild herbal shampoo. Oil your hairs with Mahabhringraj oil (Bhringaraja, Daruharidra, Nagkesar, Mulethi) every alternate day. Try all these things regularly and you will feel a positive response.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
