Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am 18 years old, and I have a serious issue. My beard is changing color from black to red. In my family, no one has ever faced this issue.
My sleeping routine is from 2:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. My diet is also good. I am disappointed because of this problem. Please help.
Thank you.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
The change of color of hair from black to red or coppery means you have high pitta in your body. You might also experience excess body heat. You can prevent it before it turns gray. If you are not overweight, you can consume a teaspoon full of ghee every day early in the morning, as ghee is good for pitta issues.
Vitamin deficiency may also lead to discoloration of hair. I suggest you do pranayama every day (ujjayi pranayama), drink plenty of water, and consume powdered curry and drumstick leaves. Avoid doing anything that drains your energy, like overdoing exercise and masturbation. Consume amla juice daily; dilute it well in water before consuming it (dilute half amla fruit in four cups of water). You can also consume dry amla powder. Make sure to eat your food on time. Take more green leafy vegetables like spinach, bhringraj (false daisy), broccoli, carrots, black beans, soybeans, Bengal gram (chana dal), sweet potato, almonds, dates, and raisins. Apply black cumin oil (kalonji oil) and bringraj powder on your beard. Consume more buttermilk and coconut water.
I would suggest Cool melon syrup (Vitis vinifera (Draksha), Hemidesmus indicus (Sariva), Shadanga churna) two teaspoon, morning and afternoon, Neelibringadhi tailam (indigo and false daisy) oil for external application, Narasimha rasyanam (herbal butter containing mimosa plant) one teaspoon with milk at night before bed, and Bringrajasavam (extract of Eclipta alba) two teaspoons, morning and afternoon. Consult your specialist doctor, discuss with them, and take medicines with their consent.
I hope that you get your answer.
Please let me know if you need any help.
Thank you.
