Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have a problem with frequent urination. I have even consulted a doctor who suggested me certain tests. But those test reports came normal suggesting the kidneys are working normally. Please tell me the cause and suggest treatment for the same.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I went through your query and understood your concern.

There are various reasons for frequent urination.

However, I have a few questions.

1. Do you have any other complaints along with frequent urination?

2. Can you please let me know what kind of blood tests and other tests are done to rule out kidney issues?

Frequent urination can be due to high blood sugar levels, urinary bladder stones, prostrate problems (usually occurs in old age), and due to severe anxiety and fear. Therefore, I suggest you do some blood tests such as,

1. CBC (complete blood count).

2. Kidney function tests.

3. Fasting and post-prandial blood sugar levels.

4. Ultrasound of the lower abdomen.

If all these tests are normal, I think there is nothing to worry. As mentioned before, it can be due to severe mental stress, anxiety, or fear.

Kindly follow up with the reports.

I hope this has helped you.

Thanks and regards.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
