Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am around 38 years old and have had frequent urination problems for the last month. I pass my urine almost 16 to 17 times during the day and one or two times at night. No stones are detected in the ultrasonography, and the blood and urine reports are also normal. Currently, I am taking Homeopathic medicines. What medicines should I take for faster recovery: Homeopathic or Ayurvedic? Kindly help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern. I have just gone through your presenting complaints. From that, I can understand that you are experiencing frequent urination problems.

Frequent urination is when someone has an urge to pass urine more often than normal. Sometimes, frequent urination is an indication of some other disease. Early identification of these issues can help in effective treatment and prevent complications. As you said, you have done kidney sonography and blood and urine tests, so can you please attach it for my reference and kindly answer the following questions:

1) Are you experiencing any other symptoms?

2) Is your urine darker or lighter than usual?

3) Do you drink alcohol or caffeinated beverages?

4) Are you experiencing constipation?

The Probable causes

Many reasons may lead to this situation, including anxiety, food, and drinks that act as diuretics, urinary tract infection, inflammation of the bladder wall, and overactive bladder (OAB) syndrome. An enlarged prostate can also lead to frequent urination in men. A constipated rectum can put pressure on the urinary bladder, leading to frequent urination problems.

Treatment plan

Treatment plans can be suggested only after getting the test results.

Preventive measures

Preventive measures include: 1) Eating a balanced diet and maintaining an active lifestyle can help moderate urine output. 2) Limiting alcohol and caffeine intake (if you have one) and cutting out foods that can irritate the bladder or act as a diuretic, such as chocolate, spicy foods, and artificial sweeteners. 3) Eating high-fiber foods is also suggested. All this will indirectly improve urine flow through the urethra.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
