What could cause frequent bowel movements?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am 22 years old. I have bowel movements four times a day, and sometimes it increases to five or six times. I am concerned about this issue. Please provide a solution.

Thank you in advance.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

There are few things that you need to note. Frequent bowel clearance can also occur because of an allergy to some dietary substances such as milk products. I advise you to eat healthy food, including fruits and vegetables in the diet. Exercise for 30 minutes a day. Have a good sleep of seven to eight hours.

There is an excellent medicine in Ayurveda for this issue Hingwashtak Churna (Shunthi, Marich, Pippali). Take one teaspoon and mix it with four teaspoon of lukewarm water and consume it during meals or after meals, twice a day.

I hope you are satisfied with my answer. For further queries, you can consult me at icliniq.

Thank you.
