Is there an ayurveda treatment for nonretractable foreskin?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am 22 years old. I am unable to retract my foreskin in both flaccid and erect state. Please suggest.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

How long have you been experiencing this retraction problem? Is there any swelling or redness in the area?

Difficulty in retraction may be due to a lack of skin elasticity and insufficient lubrication. To address this, you need to provide internal and external lubrication.

  1. For internal lubrication, take 1 teaspoon of melted Ashwagandha ghrita, a medicated ghee, on an empty stomach each morning. After taking it, drink a cup of warm water. Use this method daily for three months.
  2. For external lubrication, apply warm Ksheerabala oil, an Ayurvedic medicine, to the penis and massage for five minutes, then take a warm water bath.

Follow these recommendations for three months. If you experience any swelling, pain, or redness, visit a doctor immediately. After three months, consult an Ayurvedic specialist for follow-up.

I hope you are satisfied with my answer. For further queries, you can consult me at icliniq.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

I do not have any swelling or redness. I am not clear with the massage you suggested. Please explain.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Apply warm Ksheerabala oil to your penis and massage for five minutes. Then, have a warm water bath. Ksheerabala oil is an ayurveda medicine.

For further doubts consult an ayurveda specialist.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for the reply.

After applying oil, should I try to pull the foreskin back? Or Should I just rub it and pull it from the side? I am a bit confused.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Yes, you should try and pull the foreskin back. That is the reason I have prescribed the oil. It will ease the retraction.

You can even apply the oil on the glans after retraction.

For further information consult an ayurveda specialist.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

How many days will it take to get normal? Through this, can I avoid circumcision?

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

It may take about two to three months. If this works, then certainly you need not go for circumcision.

The action of medications is different for different individuals. So, I may not be able to give you guarantee, but hope for the best.

Revert back after three months to an ayurveda specialist.
